The project: The statistics dashboard needed to be modernized and readable in a way that showed users what they wanted to see first. The old version also had no charts or graphs. It also had a very long scroll on the page.

The goal: Give the information that is most important first. Possibly increase awareness in our features available to users by highlighting them more prominently.

The challenge: There was a huge amount of information on the page, it was overwhelming. How break up SO MUCH information in easy-to-read sections?

The process: I realized before I started working on a mockup, I needed more information; I needed to hear directly from the users. Therefore, I created a three-question survey. I asked whether or not the survey takers visited the page frequently (yes/no). Then I listed out each dashboard section and asked them to answer whether each section was very important on down to not at all important. Lastly I asked an open-ended question, if they had any feedback of the current page they would like to give.

The results of the user survey clarified my questions. I was able to identify which section mattered the most (and the least) and what the users most desired. I then set to work creating the mockup below:
